If you’re reading this… you have the internet.
If you have the internet… odds are, you’ve at least perused the vastness of Amazon’s pages – if not bought something from this online retail giant.
You can buy almost ANYTHING on Amazon (AMZN) – from books, to toilet paper to your favorite brand of underwear…
But we always thought there would be limits to what you could buy from them or to what lengths they would go in order to get a leg up on the competition…
We were wrong.
One thing we thought would always be safe – would be the everyday groceries that we need to buy fresh…
Meat, milk, cheese, bread – these type of items need to be bought same day oftentimes – not out of an ability to keep cold, but more out of need.
Most people buy what they need when they’ve run out of the items – not just when they’re getting low.
This was what Amazon was hoping for when they first got into selling groceries…
What they didn’t count on was how wasteful the food business can be – food spoils, packaging breaks, soft goods get damaged – and unlike non-perishable goods, you can’t send it back for a refund.
It didn’t take long for the new, more cash-conscious Amazon to reevaluate their delivery service and take a good hard look at their model…
And it’s a total 180 from their current business strategy.
If I were to tell you that Amazon – the biggest online retailer in the world was looking into building brick-and-mortar locations – you’d probably think me a loon if I didn’t have the proof to back it up.
Well… I do, and I’ll get to that in a moment…
But yes, the world’s biggest online retailer DOES see brick-and-mortar stores being a BIG factor in their renewed grocery push.
Recent developments have opened our eyes to the Amazon plan…
In fact, recently men were seen putting “Amazon Fresh” signs in the store that will soon be one of their drive-through locations in Seattle, where customers can have their online orders loaded right to their car.
No need for parking spaces…
No need for carts or baskets…
Just roll out tarps that protect the customers from the elements.
Now, Amazon has a history of being very clandestine…
And they’ve yet to confirm or deny the fact that they may (or may not) be getting back into the $800 Billion grocery market – point of fact, apparently they’ve already covered up the “Amazon Fresh” signs in black fabric and paper.
But we’re not stupid, Mr. Bezos…
We know you guys are up to something – and we know it’s going to probably add a few zeros to your bottom line.
Even when you have a spokeswoman decline to comment on it – the truth is hard to conceal…
Reports of Amazon’s newest foray have been leaking out all over the place…
Seattle tech site, Geekwire, apparently stumbled upon Amazon’s mysterious drive-in grocery kiosk back in August…
The New York Post even said recently that Amazon aimed to create “robot-run supermarkets” and would hardly need a flesh and blood person to be present…
Bezos’ reply was priceless. The Amazon founder tweeted, “Whoever your anonymous sources are on this story — they’ve mixed up their meds!”
That may be true – but what is also true is that the Seattle based company is up to something in the grocery world – and it could be BIG for Amazon investors.
But the time to strike isn’t right now…
If I think Amazon needs to go back on the “buy” list – I’ll tell myGorillaTrades subscribers first – so they have the chance to get in at the best time in order to record the biggest possible gain.
I’d love to have you with us when that alert goes out…
But understand if you’d rather be an island unto yourself – we totally get it.
However, you may want to do yourself a favor and keep an eye on Amazon – they could be about to return even MORE profits than ever before.
